Filling in the gaps
With my access to local sources, I can fill in any gaps you would like to address in your family history.
For example, your great-grandfather may have married in Liskeard in 1856. What was Liskeard like then? How many people lived there? What did they do for a living? What political / social events were unfolding? What was advertised in the local press or directory?
I can explore any context in which you wish to place your family history – from the social history of a village community to the life and death of a mine to a particular event like an accident to the development of major towns, and on and on. I can explore links to famous events or issues, such as Cornwall’s mining, fishing and smuggling past.
